Shawn C. Edwards, D.M.D.
Dr. Edwards earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Clemson University in 1999. He then attended MUSC College of Dental Medicine Earning his Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.). Dr. Edwards maintains his education through memberships in numerous local and national associations and is a lifelong learner. Surpassing continuing education requirements, Dr. Edwards has traveled nationwide studying advanced techniques in dentistry and has gained certification in implant and surgically guided implant restorations.
Away from the office, Dr. Edwards values his time spent with his wife, Ashley and four beautiful children; Bryce, Collin, and twin girls Meredith and Madalyn. It is no secret around the office that Dr. Edwards is an avid hunter and greatly enjoys the outdoors. To no limit, he is adventurous and enjoys mountain biking, camping, and summers spent on the lake. In the fall months, Dr. Edwards is passionate about cheering on his alma mater, The Clemson Tigers.
Administrative Assistant & Treatment Coordinator
With a total of nine years’ experience in dentistry, Amanda is versatile and experienced in many aspects of our office. Initially starting out in the field as a dental assistant, Amanda received her Dental Assisting certificate from Tri-County Technical. From a young age, Amanda knew that dental care was her calling, however after beginning as a dental assistant, she determined her true niche was as a dental administrator. She is amazingly organized, efficient and dependable. Her knowledge in clinical dentistry allows her to work in all areas of our office, although she is primarily responsible for concluding your dental visit and reviewing any account, insurance and financing information. With a relentless smile, Amanda states, “being involved in both the back and front office duties allows me to confidently know that our office is providing quality dental care from the time you step in to our office until the moment you leave. Our team exudes happiness and I am excited to say that we genuinely care about each other, our patients and the work that we do.” In her free time, Amanda enjoys spending time at the beach, dancing and hanging out with friends. She lives in Liberty, South Carolina and loves spending quality family time with her husband, Nick, the newest member of her family, baby Ella, and “fur babies”
Office Administrator & Billing/Insurance Coordinator
As the first member to greet you as you enter our office, Shannon fills the position of front office administrator with a gleaming smile. Bringing nearly nineteen years of clerical background and certificates in dental assisting, Shannon is thoroughly knowledgeable in managing coordination of treatment, insurance, financing, and occasionally assisting our back office team. She is often the first and last impression you receive at our office. Shannon joined our team in 2013 and states her passion for helping people achieve “healthy, confident smiles coupled with an amazing work atmosphere” drew her to the profession.
Staying close to home, Shannon was born, raised and has started a family in Easley, South Carolina. She shares a home with her husband of sixteen years, Lance and two handsome sons, Colie and Emery. Shannon loves summertime on Lake Hartwell, their family dachshund, Roscoe, and cheering proudly during Clemson football and basketball seasons. “GOOO Tigers!”
Registered Dental Hygienist
Elisha graduated from Greenville Technical College with an Associates of Applied Science degree in Dental Hygiene, Elisha also expands her credentials to include nitrous oxide and local anesthesia administration certifications. In the Greenville community, Elisha has practiced since 2011, enjoying the opportunity to educate and empower patients on the importance of oral health. Elisha had a desire to make Dental Associates of Easley her professional home after her first visit to the office. She attributes this to the positive team atmosphere and advanced technology. When discussing her excitement regarding her new position at Dental Associates of Easley, Elisha stated “I am a people person and passionately care for the trust that patients place when they enter our office. I relate to Dr. Edwards commitment to provide a comfortable patient experience coupled with the latest dental advancements… this is truly the perfect job for me.”
The true definition of a “local girl,” Elisha grew up in Anderson, South Carolina and now lives in Liberty, South Carolina. She married her husband in April of 2016. Outside of the office, Elisha loves spending time with family and friends. She especially enjoys her close connection with her niece and nephews, treasuring their time spent playing and being “Aunt Lee-Lee.”
Registered Dental Hygienist
Rhonda joined the Dental Associates of Easley team in 2005 and brought with her a background in periodontics. As a result, Rhonda is knowledgeable in assisting our patients on the importance of maintaining dental health through the prevention and treatment of periodontal disease. Graduating from Greenville Technical College with an Associate of Applied Science degree in Dental Hygiene, Rhonda has fifteen years within the dental field.
Her additional credentials include nitrous oxide and local anesthesia. Her passion is driven by the relationships she builds with her clients. Much in the same way, our patients find it easy to strike up a conversation and feel at ease with Rhonda’s charming demeanor. Rhonda has truly found her calling and states, “I enjoy each day entering the office and working in a happy atmosphere.” Dr. Edwards describes Dental Hygienist Rhonda Chapman by commenting on her true ability to connect with patients. He states, “Our patient’s continuously rave about how Rhonda is gentle and how confident they feel when they are in her care.”
Originally from Piedmont, South Carolina, Rhonda shares a beautiful home with her husband of eighteen years, Scott. As a cheer-mom, Rhonda loves traveling to games and tumbling practice to support her talented daughter Carlie with her passion for cheerleading. In her spare time, Rhonda enjoys spending time with family, friends and exercising.
Expanded Duties Certified Dental Assistant
Initially drawn to the field of dentistry for the opportunities to truly help people create beautiful, healthy smiles, Hannah joined our Dental associates of Easley team during the summer of 2014. As a more recent member, she has quickly adapted to working alongside Kricket and Dr. Edwards as a chair-side assistant. A graduate of Midlands Technical College, Hannah received a diploma in Applied Science and certificate as an expanded duties dental assistant. When asked about beginning her career with Dental Associates of Easley, Hannah stated “The opportunity to work alongside Dr. Edwards and the entire Dental Associates of Easley team is exciting! It is clear that this office is committed to remaining cutting edge, in both the areas of high-tech dentistry and patient experience.”
As a native of Nashville, Tennessee, Hannah is a newlywed and now living in Piedmont, SC with her husband Jason and their two cuddly Dachshunds, Hoss and Saluda. In Hannah’s spare time, she enjoys scrapbooking and spending time outdoors on the lake or in the mountains. Hannah also love entertaining for family and friends.
Kandace “Kricket” Doker
Expanded Duties Certified Dental Assistant
Kricket graduated from Greenville Technical College, completing a two-year Expanded Duty Dental Assisting course and receiving her Diploma in Applied Science. Shortly after, Kricket joined Dental Associates of Easley, using her charming southern demeanor to place our patients at ease. Kricket has a strong desire for knowledge and a motivation to continuously advance her skill. She triples her expected continuing education requirements and spends countless hours outside of work training with Dr. Edwards on dental implants and the latest advancements to incorporate into our office. In discussing her favorite aspect of Dental Associates of Easley she states, “Assisting chair side with Dr. Edwards is such fun. He is a caring doctor that has built his practice around love for our patients and staff. He focuses on a family atmosphere.”
Her father’s term of endearment became a childhood nickname; “I grew up with the nickname Kricket all throughout childhood and it still sticks with me to this day.” Kricket is enjoying life as a wife, living with her husband, Adrian, in Anderson, South Carolina. She enjoys attending NewSpring Church, playing the piano, listening to country music and loving her two dogs.
