Darla Lucas – Practice Manager

Darla has been working in the dental field since 1999. She first started working for Dr. Edwards as his office manager in Clemson, SC. In 2016 Darla became “practice manager” here at Dental Associates of Easley. She and her husband have been married since 1993 and now reside in Seneca, SC. In Darla’s spare time she is taking care of her pigs at her and her husband’s pig farm.

Shannon Smith – Office Administrator & Billing/Insurance Coordinator

As the first member to greet you as you enter our office, Shannon fills the position of front office administrator with a beautiful bright smile. Shannon has been doing clerical work since 1999. She is thoroughly knowledgeable in managing the coordination of insurance, financing, and billing. She is often the first and last impression you receive at our office. Shannon joined our team in 2013 and states her passion for helping people achieve “healthy, confident smiles coupled with an amazing work atmosphere” drew her to the profession. Staying close to home, Shannon was born, raised and has started a family in Easley, South Carolina. She has been married to her husband, Lance, since September 2000. She has two handsome sons, Colie and Emery. Shannon loves summertime at the beach, spending time with her family, and cheering proudly for the Clemson Tigers!

Amanda Gant – Administrative Assistant & Treatment Coordinator

Amanda has been in the dental field since 2007. She is versatile and experienced in many aspects of our office. She received her Dental Assisting certificate from Tri-County Technical in 2007 and initially starting out in the field as a dental assistant. From a young age, Amanda knew that dental care was her passion and after beginning as a dental assistant, she realized her true niche was as a dental administrator. She is amazingly organized, efficient and dependable. Her knowledge in clinical dentistry allows her to work in all areas of our office. She is primarily responsible for concluding your dental visit, going over any treatment options, reviewing accounts, insurance and financial information. Amanda states, “being knowledgeable in both the back and front office duties gives me the confidence in knowing that our patients are receiving quality dental care from the time you walk into our office until the moment you leave. Our team radiates high energy and I have to say we honestly care about our patients and the work that we do.” In her free time, Amanda enjoys going to the beach, hanging out with friends and family, and going shopping. Amanda married her husband, Nick, in September of 2012. She has a little girl, Ella, born in August 2016 and a son, Cash, born in January 2021.

Stephanie Ragsdale – Certified Dental Assistant

Stephanie graduated from the Dental Assisting program at Greenville Technical College in July 2020. She always knew she wanted a career doing something that helped people so once she was introduced to the dental field, she knew it was for her. She loves being a part of making people feel better about themselves.

She grew up in Pickens, SC and currently still resides there with her husband, Isaac. Stephanie and Isaac got married on October 3, 2020. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, playing with her golden retriever and labradoodle, and going camping with her husband any chance they get.

Hannah Brown – Certified Dental Assistant & Registered Dental Hygienist

Initially drawn to the field of dentistry for the opportunities to truly help people create beautiful, healthy smiles, Hannah joined our Dental Associates of Easley team during the summer of 2014 as a Certified Dental Assistant. A graduate of Midlands Technical College, Hannah received a diploma in Applied Science and certificate as an expanded duties dental assistant. After 5 years of assisting Dr. Edwards, Hannah returned to school to become a Registered Dental Hygienist. Hannah returned in May of 2020 and is so excited to be back with our family at Dental Associates of Easley!

Hannah is a native of Nashville, Tennessee and now lives with her husband, Jason, and two Dachshunds (Saluda and Hoss) in Piedmont, South Carolina. In Hannah’s spare time, she enjoys scrapbooking, photography, biking, camping and spending as much time outdoors as possible. Hannah also enjoys baking, and creating decorative food dishes, and entertaining for family and friends.

Rhonda Chapman – Registered Dental Hygienist

Rhonda joined the Dental Associates of Easley team in 2005 and brought with her a background in periodontics. As a result, Rhonda is knowledgeable in assisting our patients on the importance of maintaining dental health through the prevention and treatment of periodontal disease. Rhonda graduated from Greenville Technical College in 2000 with an Associate of Applied Science degree in Dental Hygiene. Her additional credentials include nitrous oxide and local anesthesia. Her passion is driven by the relationships she builds with her clients. Much in the same way, our patients find it easy to strike up a conversation and feel at ease with Rhonda’s charming demeanor. Rhonda has truly found her calling and states, “I enjoy each day entering the office and working in a happy atmosphere.” Dr. Edwards describes Dental Hygienist Rhonda Chapman by commenting on her true ability to connect with patients. He states, “Our patient’s continuously rave about how Rhonda is gentle and how confident they feel when they are in her care.” Rhonda is originally from Piedmont and has been married to her husband, Scott, since 1996. Scott and Rhonda still reside in Piedmont with their daughter Carlie. She enjoys spending her free time exercising, going to the beach, and spending time with friends and family.
